SECONDHAND SEPTEMBER CAMPAIGN

ORIGIN STORY & BEHIND THE SCENES

Our Secondhand September campaign is all about telling the world that fashion is for everyone, and thrifting is too. Putting together looks that you love doesn’t need to be expensive, hard on the planet, or inaccessible–at least not at The Salvation Army Thrift Store. Your local Thrift Store is full of stylish, affordable, and sustainable clothing and accessories for all ages, shapes, and styles so you can be uniquely you.

To show this, our campaign photoshoot featured our East York location and a diverse group of models in outfits that were 100% sourced from the store. Campaign models were chosen to reflect the diversity of our shoppers, donors, and employees, and the outfits reflected the fashion aesthetics being worn by younger shoppers in the Millennial and Gen Z ages. We partnered with Humber College to collaborate with a Fashion Management student, Neha, to help curate the looks.

The result? Lots of content to inspire your next trip to the Thrift Store, from runway-ready looks to trending styles like quiet luxury, maximalism, soft girl, Y2K, and dark academia. Explore the campaign looks below.
