Hey everyone, I hope we are all doing well and staying safe. With the summer fast approaching, I realized that I needed a few items for my wardrobe, so of course I went to my local Salvation Army Thrift Store to pick up a few pieces! My goal was to add a few lightweight items that were trendy yet timeless, specifically 1970’s styles.
Thrifted tees are a must for anyone’s summer wardrobe! I bought two tees on this haul, the first one is this white tee with a bright, bold graphic. Everyone loves a nice white t-shirt because it is a summer classic and staple. However, I didn’t want to opt for a simple plain white tee, so the extra flare on this shirt is perfect. I would style this with a pair of blue denim and a pair of sneakers or loafers.
The second item I scored is this blue shirt with an exaggerated collar. This shirt has a retro vibe to it and the shape and colour of it create a bold statement. It definitely checks off that 70’s aesthetic I am going for.
The third item is this funky Polo short-sleeve shirt. What caught my eye is the neutral tone and unique texture. The material is very breathable and great for a nice summer outing, as it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I decided to pair this find with some slightly flared pants!
The next item is this flowy floral collared shirt. This shirt really gives off the summer tropical vibe. I definitely plan to take this on vacation in the future, but since travel is not possible at the moment, my local restaurant patios will have to do for now.
The second t-shirt, and the final item, from my thrift trip is this black Harley Davidson Jamaica tee. This shirt really caught my eye because of the classic Harley Davidson logo but what stood out to me was the fact that it’s from Jamaica, how cool is that?! I’ve never been to Jamaica and although I’d love to visit in the future, this tee does the trick for now. With this tee, I would also throw in a pair of flared pants, a light overshirt as well as some boots, then I’ll be ready for a summer evening outing.
