One of my favourite things about summer is the fact that you can spend long evenings outside. I love being able to relax on a patio or by the side of a campfire surrounded by the people that I love the most. In this blog, I will show you three different outfits I found at the Salvation Army Thrift Store that are perfect for those cooler summer nights. Whether you are in the city or in the country, comfort is key. I am very happy with the Fab Finds I’ve discovered. They are great quality pieces that I am sure will serve me for a long time!
This first look is, in my opinion, ultimate comfort. It consists of sweatpants, a tank top and a fleece jacket. I fell in love with the jacket because I can wear it either for relaxing or for everyday wear. It’s from the Japanese brand Uniqlo and it was practically new when I found it at the Thrift Store.
This second look is super simple, but I love it! It’s made of green denim pants that I thrifted at the Salvation Army Thrift Store a few years ago, plus a cotton fleece sweatshirt that I decided to cut at the waist to give it a more stylish look. I love giving clothes a second life by transforming them with DIYs! If you find a banal piece of clothing at your local thrift store, don’t hesitate to change the buttons, or cut it to give it a different look. I swear it changes everything!
Finally, this last look is composed of a very precious thrift find. It’s a fleece jacket with removable sleeves from Les Iles de la Madeleine, a wonderful place in the province of Quebec that brings back sweet summer memories with my family. I love this kind of garment where you can remove the sleeves to give two different functions. The fabric is extra soft fleece and the leather part in the back gives a vintage look to the jacket, which is different from what we are used to seeing in-stores.
Happy thrifting!
