Clutter-Free February Contest

Hey Torontonians–you could win a professional home organization package with Toronto’s top personal decluttering & organizing team!

We’ve partnered with Space in the City to transform one lucky winner’s Toronto space into a stress-free sanctuary for FREE this Clutter-Free February. The prize package is valued at up to $3,500 and includes a one-day session with Space in the City to declutter and organize one area or room in the winner’s home.

How to enter:

1. Choose one area or room of your home that you would like help organizing (home must be located in Toronto)

2. Take a few photos of the space

3. Make sure you’re free at least one day from February 8th-19th for Nicola and her team to come to your home and work their magic

4. Submit the form below by February 6th and tell us why you want to win the package (and don’t forget to include your photos!)

The winner will be announced on February 7th. 

NOTE: By submitting the form, you are agreeing to allow members of the Space in the City and Salvation Army Thrift Store team to enter your home, capture video footage of yourself and the space before, during, and after the service, and publish that footage on The Salvation Army’s social media channels and website. Not in Toronto? Don’t worry! We talked to Nicola about why she’s so passionate about home organization and got her top 5 tips for decluttering so that you can still take advantage of her expertise.

Contest Rules

1. Eligibility

  • The Salvation Army Thrift Store – Clutter-Free February contest (the “Contest”) is open to all legal residents of Toronto, excluding:
      • • Individuals employed by The Salvation Army;
      • • Any other individual involved in the development, production, administration, or fulfillment of the Contest;
      • • Members of the immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother, spouse) of the individuals outlined above); and
      • • Household members of any of the parties listed above.

2. Contest Period

      • • The Contest will run from January 31, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. EST to February 6, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EST (the “Contest Period”).
        • All entries must be received by February 6, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EST to be eligible.
        • The winner will be announced on February 7, 2025.

3. How to Enter

  • • No purchase required.
  • • To enter the Contest, participants must complete the submission form.
  • • Participants can submit a maximum of one (1) contest entry.

4. Prize

      • There will be one (1) prize package awarded at the end of the contest period. The prize package has a retail value of up to $3,500 CAD depending on the number of hours needed to perform the service.
5. Odds
The odds of being selected to win the Prize depends on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

6. Winner Selection

• The Salvation Army Thrift Store team will first review all eligible submissions received during the Contest Period and the winning submission will be randomly selected.
• If the prize is not claimed within 48 hours, The Salvation Army reserves the right to select another winner at random.

7. Important Contest Rules

  • • The Salvation Army reserves the right to modify or update these contest rules at any time without notice. Participants are encouraged to review the rules regularly for any changes.
  • • By entering the Contest, each Participant grants to The Salvation Army an irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license right to use your entry material and video and photos captured during the service in any media for any purpose related to the Contest (or any similar contest), including the right to use, publish, reproduce, modify, display, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from, your entry material without notification, compensation or additional consideration to you, and/or distribute the entry content for promotional and marketing purposes.
  • • Each Participant permits entry to their home for the service to be performed.
  • • Each Participant waives all claims of moral rights in any use of your entry material by The Salvation Army pursuant to the rights granted in these Contest Rules.
  • • Once a Participant is selected and confirmed as a winner, where required by The Salvation Army, the Participant agrees to sign a written assignment transferring all rights, title, and interest in and to the entry material to The Salvation Army.
  • • By participating, each Participant and the selected winners: (a) agree to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of Sponsor in relation to this Contest which will be final and binding on all Participants., (b) agree to release and hold harmless The Salvation Army, their affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, out of participation in the Contest, breach of these Rules, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or loss of or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom; (c) agree to the collection and use of his/her/their personal information by The Salvation Army for Contest related purposes for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winner and coordinating the provision of the Prize; and (d) acknowledge that The Salvation Army may disclose such personal information to third-party agents and service providers in connection with any of the activities related above. The Salvation Army will use the participant’s personal information only for identified purposes, and protect the Participant’s personal information in a manner that is consistent with The Salvation Army’s privacy policy at: https://salvationarmy.ca/why-us/accountability/privacy/.
