Volunteer
Volunteerism has been a central part of The Salvation Army
since its beginnings. You don't have to be part of the Salvation
Army to be a volunteer - we have many opportunities across
the country that will compliment your talents, interests,
and availability. When you volunteer with The Salvation Army
you become part of our team.
Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community
and to help a worthy cause. When you volunteer at a Salvation
Army Thrift Store you can take comfort in the knowledge that
you are helping one of Canada’s best known charities
raise funds to support people in need.
Volunteering at a Salvation Army Thrift Store is an excellent
way to fulfill your High School community service requirement
while gaining excellent retail experience or just enhance
your resume.
The Salvation Army Thrift Stores are continually looking
for volunteers who are hard working, energetic and have a
positive attitude. Volunteers are needed to assist in sorting
clothes, accessories, books, household items, etc, stocking
the store, and setting up displays.
Volunteers must be 15 years old (unless they are accompanied
by an adult), and groups are welcome.
