Spring Vase Ideas!

Spring is officially here and it’s time to break out the blooms. There’s no need to spend a fortune on a new vase- the Salvation Army Thrift Store has rows and rows of vessels perfect for your flowers. In today’s post I am sharing two vases I scored at the St. Claire thrift store. One- a simple clear vase for under $5 (featured above) and a swan planter that I upcycled- inspired by the swan ring holders from Anthropologie.

While I was paroosing the aisles at the St. Claire Thrift Store I stumbled upon a beautiful swan planter. Here it is just waiting to be found!

I am a big advocate for “good bones”.. When it comes to furniture and decor, a lot of the times we may be turned off of an item because of it’s colour or finish. But, what many people may not consider is that for a lot of items- the finish is something that can be changed or upgraded with either reupholstery or some paint! In this case, I really loved the swan’s shape.. But the clovers all over the body were not something I was really into.

I knew with a quick spritz of spray paint (I used a white Krylon spray in for a high gloss shiny finish) I could have this baby looking brand new. With a price tag of $4.99 you can’t go wrong.

Here’s the finished product included in this fun spring tablescape!
