It’s Mother’s Day this weekend. A day we celebrate MOM and all our love for her. My mom is my best friend and I absolutely love to spoil her any chance I can get. You don’t have to break the bank to spoil Mom either, thoughtfulness trumps all when it comes to gift giving. During a recent thrifting trip to my local Queen street Thrift store, I spotted an adorable silver tray with rose handles (for only $3.99!).
This was the jumping off point for my idea.. Breakfast in bed. You can actually find everything you need to treat Mom to breakfast in bed from the thrift store, minus the food of course. ;) Looking to continue the floral theme, I found an adorable brass rimmed teacup saucer with a flower on it (perfect size for a small croissant!).
I found a rosy coloured bowl in the shape of a heart, perfect for strawberries.. An intricate glass candle holder (that I took the top off to turn it into a vase). Now all that’s left to do is whip up breakfast.. I went with a simply delicious mix of pancakes, strawberries, whipped cream, and extra syrup. Happy Mother’s Day...and Mom.. I love you!
