Since I am up at the cottage this week, I thought it would be appropriate to showcase some pieces here that have been revamped, and hopefully this can inspire your next thrift store project!
Both these pieces were existing pieces my mom had, the first is a Quebec-made maple hutch (these are seen often at second hand stores!), and the other is originally in a honey oak colour.
The maple hutch (top left) was slated to become a statement piece for their newly renovated bathroom, and I definitely think it has full filled it's purpose! It provides the perfect punch of colour in the "Paraguayan themed" bathroom.
The black hutch (top right) is kind of on the opposite side of the spectrum - providing an upscale sort of storage space in their hallway. My mom painted this one by herself, with my guidance close at hand :) She did a fabulous job!
Hope this gives you some ideas for the next time you see one of these gems sitting at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, just begging for a makeover and a renewed purpose!"
