We’ve all been there, you have a dinner party planned but your busy with work, the errands took longer than you expected and now you have five minutes to throw together a tablescape! No need to panic! I am here to help. Obviously a dinner table overflowing with flowers and candles is spectacular, but let’s be realistic, this is probably out of budget or we don’t have time to set it up.
Here’s an easy spring tablescape for any dinner party or brunch or ladies night. It only took five minutes to set up and looked really pretty. The key is to have a few items always on hand like seasonal table cloths or vases or candles holders. If you have these you are halfway there! I purchased a lot of my decor pieces from the Salvation Army Thrift Store. It’s an easy way to find unique and one of a kind items to decorate with, and the price is always affordable.
Here’s what you will need:
- Tablecloth: I bought this embroidered floral one for at my local Salvation Army Thrift Store – $2
- Flowers: Save money by purchasing individual flowers with extra buds or stems. They are simpe to separate only cost – $3
- Vintage bottles or small vases: These vintage bottles are my absolute favorite – already owned
Cut the flower stems to the appropriate length, set out the larger flowers and vases first and then fill in the gaps with the smaller vases. Voila! You are ready for guests.
