Here’s another list to share - 5 thrift store treasures you can repurpose into garden fixtures. These are simple projects for flowers, herbs or succulents. Whatever your fancy! Easy, low cost and they look darn good.
1. The easiest is to repurpose a cup or bowl into a planter.
Or find some Mason jars and turn them into hanging planters.
2. Teapots! Reuse a teapot and transform it into a one-of-a-kind home for your succulents.
3. Rain boots have been known to create character in a garden.
Old rubber boots make good homes for all sorts of greenery.
4. Old light fixtures
Whether it’s a glass light cover or a hanging fixture - you can sometimes score a vintage fixture to upcycle. I found this vintage glass cover and turned it into a hanging planter in a jiffy.
5. Chairs that are too far gone to reupholster could be restyled into
swanky homes for flowers.
Other items to consider are old ladders, kid’s wagons and I’m sure there are tons of other thrift store treasures perfect for adding greenery to. Try one of the above or share your own with us. We’d love to know what garden awesomeness you’ve created using treasures found at your local Salvation Army Thrift Store.
